Its a pity that many people do not employ the full prowess of their brains. All those crap talk, all those bad jokes, mindless flirting, etc; all these seem so... shallow sometimes, all these seem to not fully harness the ability of the human brain. The human brain is an amazing object, a super computer, a well of emotions and feelings and analysis, an infinite memory bank (someone once said that if the amount of info contained within a human brain can be stored into discs, the discs would stack 100 stories high, I can only hope it was a figure of speech); and all these are but understatements of the abilities of the brain, the amazing work of art and science by the Creator.

The jobs of psychiatrists are therefore one that is intensely difficult. How is it possible to fully comprehend the branch of science that lies on the branch of being pseudo and real, of understanding the brain (because we after all only have capabilities as far as our brain can produce, and trying to understand the brain is akin to trying to pull yourself up by your bootlaces), full understanding of psychology is a paradox, its impossible. So many questions out there about the human mind... So much the brain can do... Art, nature, science, interpersonal skills, reflections, ability to draw connections where no connections previously were made, body intelligence, etc etc. So much.... And probably the most important is reflecting, providing one has the adequate amount of intelligence to draw the connections and learn new things.

Ah, but it makes me feel: "its such a pity" whenever i see intelligent people not totally using their brains, talking crap all the time etc. Such a pity, that such prowess was not harnessed into reflections or something constructive; yes i do understand that talking crap is also part of interpersonal skills, of communication, of bonding with people, but i refer to those that overdo the bonding with people and communicating; trust me i have seen many of these people... But it is not their fault, they probably have not reflected that they are currently under using their brains and probably had no one to point them in the right direction, but hopefully its just that i didn't know that they do reflect and thus came to the hasty conclusion that that's all there is to their character. Hopefully. Every brain mired in a cycle of shallowness and stagnation is one brain too many.

That's why i guess we should all adhere to a motto for our brains: keep moving. I like it, it signifies that there is no stagnation, no dwelling too long on any one event or incident, and constant mental exercise. I just find the brain and the mind so so amazing, and too valuable a resource to ever waste.

So let us keep moving on.
